Periodontology
Periodontology on the one hand focuses on curing periodontal diseases (gum diseases) in order to ensure healthy gums and the bone around the teeth and on the other it cures receding gums in order to restore or improve the patient’s facial harmony.
Gum asymmetries and/or teeth that are too long or too short, can be treated with techniques that restore the correct size of the teeth and an aesthetically pleasing gum line, with the consequent improvement of the whole face.
Oral hygiene
Professional oral hygiene, along with the daily hygiene performed at home, is the fundamental base for caring and maintaining natural teeth and dental treatments. This process ensures the bacterial decontamination of the oral cavity, along with deep cleaning, or scaling and root planing, of the teeth.
Where necessary this is integrated with fluoride treatments designed to strengthen tooth enamel. Each session can last between 45 and 60 minutes, based on the specific requirements of the patient. On request we have teeth whitening treatments, which can be done at home or at the clinic.
Implants
Today it’s possible to restore a natural and reliable oral expression and function with customised implant solutions. These range from single implants to full arch dental implants, including complex surgeries such as the Toronto Bridge and the Full Arch.
We use extremely high-quality titanium implants (Astra – Dentsply), combined with advanced and minimally invasive techniques, such as immediate loading and computer guided surgery, guaranteeing patient comfort and excellent results.
In cases where there is an insufficient quantity of bone to insert the implants, we use different bone reconstruction techniques to complete the treatment.
New biomaterials, both synthetic and of animal origin, allow us to overcome bone insufficiencies with a much lower impact compared to the past. The techniques and materials used have proven to be extremely reliable and are supported by extensive scientific studies.
Digital prosthetics
Our clinic features the most advanced system for producing dental prosthetics in a single appointment.
This system consists of: an intraoral scanner to take teeth impressions without needing pastes and uncomfortable teeth trays; the most advanced studio dental milling machine to construct small prosthetics; a latest generation 3D printer to create large prosthetics and an ultra-fast oven for the aesthetic characterisation and finalisation of dental reconstructions.
The aim of this integrated system (CEREC), is to allow us to provide precise, safe and reliable reconstructions, with the added benefit of ensuring patient comfort and production speed, so that our patients can receive the best dental care available.
Complete prosthetics
Prosthetics are the ideal solution to resolve all functional and aesthetic requirements for partial or total edentulism. This type of solution guarantees comfort and long-lasting benefits.
The Marenco Dental Clinic is able to scan with a 3D camera, design and construct the entire range of metal free prosthetics.
Orthodontics
We offer orthodontic treatments for all ages, such as cephalometry, interceptive therapy and fixed or mobile appliances. We also use Invisalign and SureSmile Dentsply Sirona, innovative orthodontic systems that use transparent aligners to align teeth.
They are a discreet alternative to traditional fixed braces with brackets or removable braces.
Oral surgery
Oral surgery is a medical discipline that allows us to tackle and resolve issues that affect the health of the mouth and the general wellbeing of the patient, promoting a complete rehabilitation from a functional and aesthetic point of view.
Oral surgery focuses on the treatment of different pathologies of the oral cavity, such as small benign tumours of the mucous membranes, frenectomy, removal of cists from maxillary bones, complex extractions of wisdom teeth that are incorrectly positioned and apicoectomy, to treat dental granuloma that resist traditional root canal therapy.
Every procedure is carefully planned to take into account the specific requirements of the patient, to ensure a safe and effective therapeutic approach. In most cases the surgeries are performed with a local anaesthetic, with the possibility of conscious sedation to guarantee the complete comfort for the patient throughout the procedure.
Conservative treatments
Conservative treatment is focused on maintaining and caring for the natural dental elements. We offer composite fillings, composite and porcelain inlays and onlays, aesthetic and long-lasting solutions to restore the function and aspect of the tooth.
Conscious sedation
Conscious sedation is a safe and effective anaesthesiologic technique that allows patients to undertake dental treatments completely relaxed and pain-free. The patient remains awake, conscious and able to collaborate with the dentist, but free of anxiety and tension.
It is ideal for patients that fear or are uneasy about dental procedures. On request it can be carried out in the presence of the anaesthetist.
