Although born in Ravenna she now calls Bologna home. She graduated with honours from the University of Bologna in 1997 and continued her academic career until 2001, by furthering her professional experience in the First Visit Examinations and Periodontology departments.

She works freelance, mainly in conservative restoration and endodontics.

She furthers her professional development by regularly taking part in courses of the National Program for Continuing Medical Education (CME).
